Happy Easter
Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Easter. We posted some pics of our day. We started with some Easter egg decorating and then had naps (more on that in a minute) and then had a good Easter egg hunt. The kids all had a good time. You may notice that Macy is absent from most of the pictures and if you see her leg in the one picture you'll see why. While Macy was going down for rest, we suddenly heard a scream come from her room (memories of the stitches). I went in to see what was wrong and she said that she jumped and felt her leg pop. Dave tried his best Dr. impersonation and check her knee, ankle, and Achilles's and everything seemed fine. Dave pushed around and finally Macy said it was her leg that actually hurt. She couldn't put any pressure on her leg, but she could move everything. We gave her some ice and Motrin and she fell asleep. We had hoped that she would wake up and be ready to hunt Easter eggs. When she woke, she still wouldn't walk on it, so it was time to go to the doctor. The doctor looked it over and thought she had a deep bone bruise, but was going to do an x-ray anyway. I think the doctor was more surprised than anyone that she had broken her leg all the way through on her big bone. She is so tough and a big trooper. She hasn't cried except for when she tried to walk and it doesn't seem to phase her at all. She will be going to see an orthopedic specialist on Monday and they'll swap out that half cast for a full blown one. Hopefully, that's all they'll need to do. Enjoy the pictures!
